Ok, can we have House back, now?

While attending ConvergeSouth – I told the crowd I thought that Brad Miller ought to be re-elected. (note: I did NOT, btw, thank Congressman Miller for his efforts on net neutrality, but on his involvement in the fight to protect blogs from campaign finance regulation)

Truth be told, I don’t know a lot about Brad Miller, other than his involvement in that fight for speech. And while he wasn’t a 100% ally in that effort having voted against (mistakenly, I might add) HR 1606 – by all accounts and my experience he was an honest broker. Yes, he’s a lefty.

Over the past 72 hours, I’ve barely had fifteen minutes to myself – suffice to say, when it comes to being a road-warrior traveler, I’ve got NOTHING on my boss.

I hope to have some time tomorrow to write some more specific thoughts about the panel, the research released, and my thoughts about how the data can inform programs and not just discussion. (for what it’s worth, I personally found the StrategyOne data on blogging and political action far more interesting than the lists of influential blogs, but that’s just me) In the meantime, Jacki Danicki, who attended the event at Claridge’s but I didn’t have the chance to meet, has a really thoughtful post about the event.

Small world

What are the odds, exactly…of standing in the immigration line at the Brussels airport, only to meet someone that doesn’t just share a mutual friend, but happened to introduce one of your office colleagues to his wife?

Via Drudge comes this heartwarming story of a man, two friends, a can(s?) of body paint, and a digital camera. One of them men, WV State Sen. Randy White, a Democrat, hasn’t yet decided whether to remain in the race. Is it just me, or does this October take the strange cake?
