Hello? Anyone there?

The ‘Strumpette’, Literati Group’s little project – isn’t just laughably fake – it ought to be downright offensive in an industry that values ability over ‘endowment’. And in that light – this is just sad. Like a 60yr old divorcee chainsmoker still hanging out in a singles bar looking for a date.

As I’ve said before…clumsy cloak & dagger web operations bore me to death.

Addendum: Oddly, both “Brian” and “Amanda” display the rather rare writing characteristic of signing their comments in addition to the clearly displayed “authored by” field.

I like your takes. Similar to SpamKarma2, “rather aggressive.” Tell me, are you concerned about how quickly “sex sold” to our fellow PR bloggers? As Foremski said, the Strumpette persona had everyone eating out of her hand with one little post. The acronym I used on Bite’s blog – it was as if Heidi Klum walked into my fantasy baseball draft. Absurd.

You think that’s bad? We now have two GUYS writing Wonkette.

Maybe it’s a particular character trait in PR people. We constantly have to get inside the heads of people receiving pitches – does it just breed too much flexibility when it comes to a lipstick covered pig? Or is it just a pressure valve being loosened a bit in an industry notorious for controlling the message?

Agree 100%. It’s boring. And the fact that many women in PR (and other professions) have to fight past the stereotypical facade ‘he’ is using is just offensive.

Stephen, I wish more people found it boring. :)
